Description:   Amphora handle, oval in section.
Decoration:   Stamp with traces of letters, some illegible, and long-handled trident facing right, shaft of trident about three times as long as head. Similar lettering and shape to Knidian amphora handle C-1978-40. Trident similar to Agora object SS-13640.
Writing:   stamp. Just above base of handle, roughly rectangular stamp, three lines total. First line (H. 0.003): [??]AN[?]ANDR . Second line (H. 0.003): OUATHAN[?]SEI . Third line (H. 0.005): [I?]OUKM [trident].
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay with abundant very small round brown inclusions and rare large reddish yellow inclusion.
Munsell Color:   5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken off at both ends of handle, preserving small part of body of amphora. Upper left corner of stamp not preserved. Stamped letters poorly preserved and not clearly legible in some areas. Inventoried from Lot 2465.
