Description:   Miniature thymiaterion with rectangular base (H. 0.03), handmade and attached to wheelmade circular upper portion.
Decoration:   Slipped and polished outside with elaborate painted decorations; inside slipped and smoothed. Front face outlined crudely with black and very crude single dotted-fret pattern within, one red vertical stroke at extreme corner. Upper platform red, with black corner palmette outlined in red. Circular rising portion: torus in two degrees and rising panel to another offset in at least two degrees; outer edge of upper torus black and upper edge red.
Writing:   dipinto. On panel above circular rising portion, in black paint, in Greek: DAMATR[---] (i.e., "to Demeter"). However, according to Ron Stroud, not Demeter.
Material:   Hard, plae, yellowish-buff clay, shading toward pink at corel well levigated but few large inclusions.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving corner and base; broken at sides and top. Paint on front face faded and flaking.
