Description:   Lekythos with neck, raised from shoulder, tapering into narrow cylinder.
Decoration:   Lustrous, fine quality black glaze, fired light brown in places; a few chips in the glaze. Light red slip. Added matt white.
At base of figured scene is a reserved horizontal band containing a Z-meander with a narrow continuous line above and below. Above is female figure facing to her left. She wears a full-length chiton at the bottom of which one of her feet is visible. The folds of her chiton, as well as other details, are rendered by relief lines. Her extended right hand (with fingers cursorily indicated) holds a round object with a handle, possibly a mirror. Her head and facial features are poorly drawn. Placed obliquely on her head are three dots of added white, perhaps indicating a garland or fillet. To the viewer's right is part of another female figure whose back is turned towards the main figure. To the viewer's left, behind the principle figure, are two leaves of a floral motive below and a sloppy set of concentric circles above. Interior glaze.
Neck decorated with long black tongues in black with reserved outline. At upper break horizontal reserved line. Have lower attachment of vertical strap handle on top shoulder, and attchment applied to neck.
Material:   Fine, powdery, micaceous clay; buff in color.
Condition:   Fragment. Eight joining sherds preserving one figure almost entirely and part of a second. Section broken all around.
