Description:   Small lekythos with ovoid body, maximum diameter well below median, tapering cylindrical nack offset from body. Single vertical strap handle attached to shoulder.
Decoration:   Black glazed exterior, decorated in red-figure technique on front face with crouching sphinx, seated on a low plain plinth. Sphinx in profile, facing right, wing spread out behind head, tail arched behinf body. Anatomical details summarily and carelessly rendered by thin black-glazed line.
Material:   Pink Attic clay, black glaze
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from several fragments, preserving most of body, broken above base and at neck.
