Description:   Fragments from body of large open vessel, probably krater, with flaring convex profile. Interior glazed. Exterior decorated in black-figure technique.
Decoration:   Siren to r., partially preserved, broken neck, wings and legs. Hair hangs below neck in 4 narrow rays. Large rounded breast, parallel horizontal wing feathers. Top of thin legs. Hair, breast and wings incised. Purple paint over glaze on body. Unidentifiable figure with glaze and purple at right break.
Material:   Semi-coarse clay with a few white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Fired light red to red near interior, 2.5yr 5/6-6/6, reddish yellow near exterior 5yr 6/6-7/6. Black glaze and reddish brown paint, 2.5yr 4/4-5/5.
Condition:   Fragment. 4 non-joining fragments, A: five joining fragments, broken all around; B-D: single body sherds.
