Description:   About two-thirds of leg of four-legged so-called ritual vessel in black burnished ware. Leg slightly concave at preserved lower front as for flaring foot; otherwise and above, roughly conical (roughly circular in section).
Decoration:   Rear pared smooth; front smooth and burnished to a mottled black and gray and tan finish. In top of leg decorated with incised hatched bands, a roughly horizontal band near preserved bottom, a second across middle above which are two intersecting curvilinear bands and a third roughly horizontal band at preserved top. In the depression in top of leg, crusted red paint.
Material:   Fine clay, black and white inclusions, micaceous; fired blackish gray all through. Crustred red aint.
Munsell Color:   Core near N3.5/.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken top and bottom, surface chipping.
Dimensions Preserved:   M.P.H. 0.073, M.P.W. 0.053 M.
