Description:   Small amphora with bulbous neck and horned handles which rise in a peak above the rim. Small collar rim, slightly undercut. Handles, round in section, attached below the rim, have a right-angle corner, and attach to the carination of the shoulder (see C). For the shape but not the fabric cf. Riley, Benghazi II, D108.
Material:   Hard gritty red fabric with abundant small sand, even more abundant tiny round voids, and sparse angular feldspar; surface fired yellowish red.
Munsell Color:   Fabric: 2.5YR 5/8 surface: 5YR 5/6
Condition:   Fragment. Thirteen joining fragments preserve top of neck and rim with tops of both handles. Some RIP. 0.2880 nonjoining fragments in L1986-048.
