Description:   Amphora with round bottom (C), attenuated ovoid body (B,A) with max. diam. above median, rounded shoulder curving into narrow vertical neck, straight flaring rim with round lip. Two vertical handles oval in section, making squat loop from mid shoudler to mid neck (A). Wheel ridges on upper body and shoulder from manufacture, not decoration.
Material:   Very pale brown clay with common medium to large inclusions, smooth to granular break; frequent mediumt to large rounded to subrounded spherical yellow inclusions, rare rounded spherical glassy gray, rare rounded spherical black - both medium, frequent ch
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 6/4 Outside surface close to 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Missing parts. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile from lower body to rim, ca. 1/3 body, half shoulder, all neck, half rim, both handles. Non-joining frgts. left in lot. Mended with C-1997-44B.
