Description:   Tankard with slightly concave base, tall body with straight profile, widening slightly from base to lip, tapered lip, offset by groove. Two vertical handles, round in section, from above base to below lip; lower attachment marked by circumference groove.
Decoration:   Bottom scored with short, parallel vertical lines; body burnished, over which, long stripes in creamy slip or paint, between pairs of which vertical wiggly lines.
Material:   Fine, well-compacted buff clay with rare fine white angular (?) spherical inclusions, rare voids, hackly fracture.
Munsell Color:   No good match: near 7.5YR 7/5
Condition:   Complete profile. Complete profile, 21 joining frgts., complete except for ca. half lower body, 1/12 upper body, lip, base of one handle.
