Description:   Conical chafing dish lid with flattened rim with rounded lip around inner circumference, rising at ca. 60 degree angle, flattened slightly at upper break. Deep wheelmarks on interior.
Decoration:   Three circumference grooves widely spaced on body of lid, over which small studs set at even intervals. "Brown glaze" over exterior, and overlapping edge of rim.
Material:   Semi-fine clay with few fine white inclusions, fired dark gray through outer layers to light red at inner surface.
Munsell Color:   Outer layer: near 10YR 3/1; inner: ca. 2.5YR 4/6
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment, preserving nearly 1/4 circumference from frim to below top; glaze chipped, one missing stud, slightly blackened on interior.
