Description:   Kantharos, possibly a cyma, with body curving out and up to vertical, with slight flare at upper break.
Decoration:   Two deep circumference grooves placed 00.018 apart on upper body. Brown-black glaze over all. Decoration painted in clay slip: on upper body below lower groove tree motif or tall palmette with vertical trunk or stem, and 4 down-curving branches or petals on either side of upper half; within grooves wavy line with dots in angles; on B. a "C" between grooves.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay without visible inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Slightly redder than 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Four joining frgts., upper half body, broken below rim, less than 1/4 circumference. Note: 3fr. B49, 1fr. B48.
