Description:   Transport/storage amphora with steeply sloping shoulder, vertical strap handle, flattened oval in section, rising vertically from shoulder.
Writing:   stamp. Square stamp set at base of handle on diagonal: somewhat illegible: either OL, the reverse of Koehler Diss. N403, or possible ligature of OLP ? See C-2002-043 for possibly similar stamp.
Material:   Fine buff clay with 3% fine voids, 1% fine sparkling and angular red inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Pinker than 10YR 8/4
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of shoulder and lower third of handle. Large chip from lt. side of handle. Stamp complete. Cleaned with acid.
