Description:   Large transport/ storage amphora with steep shoulder, tall cylindrical neck that narrows and then widens to base of rim; collar rim H00.044, outward set and thickened with straight flaring profile broad and flat on top with rounded lip projecting slighlty beyond rim. Two vertical handles, flattened oval in section, attached to neck below rim and curving obliquely down from upper to lower attachment on top of shoulder. Similar to C 1975 151.
Decoration:   Surface possibly slipped cream.
Writing:   stamp. Stamp at base of handle zone, Latin: COSSI
Material:   Medium coarse sandy clay, fired buff at surface to salmon pink at core, with few large to very large dark red spherical sub-rounded inclusions, few large to very large spherical rounded lime inclusions, and common medium sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5 YR between 7/4 and 7/6 Core: 5YR between 6/4 and 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Eight joining fragments preserving small part of body, almost complete neck to rim, except for two small holes on neck, both handles.
