Description:   Cyma kantharos with pedestal foot with flat resting surface, conical undersurface, ring stem, ovoid body with maximum diameter just below median of body, groove and ridge separate body from outturned rim with flaring tapered lip, vertical strap handle with strap thumb-rest attached on body and at rim. Profile similar to C-65-498 (Corinth XVIII, i. no. 435) and C-47-61 (Corinth VII, iii no. 408).
Decoration:   Dark brown glaze over all exterior fired red on foot and lower body, small area reserved on lower body by accident (?), red glaze over all interior, groove around body at lower handle attachment, second groove separating body from rim. Cf. C-47-122 (Corinth VII, iii no. 399).
Material:   Fine reddish brown clay with rare (1%) rounded spherical white inclusions.

Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining frgts., all of foot, 3/4 body, 1/2 rim, one handle.
