Description:   Cyma kantharos with pedestal foot with flat resting surface, conical undersurface, ring stem, ovoid body with maximum diameter just below median of body, groove and ridge separate body from outturned rim with flaring tapered lip, vertical strap handle with strap thumb-rest, attached on body and at rim. Profile similar to C-47-61 (Corinth VII, iii no. 408).
Decoration:   Black glaze over all exterior and interior; necklace in added white paint on handle zone on either side of kantharos suspended from groove separating body from rim; traces of miltos (?) fill groove. Similar to C-1947-92 (Corinth VII, iii no. 393 ), C-1947-458 (Corinth VII, iii no. 431).
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare small angular platy black inclusions, rare small rounded lime, rare small sparking inclusions, and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 ( very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining frgts., nearly all of foot, 3/4 body, nearly all lip, two handles. Glaze worn.
