Description:   Cokking fabric flanged casserole (Casserole I by Edwards) with round bottom, squat carinated body with upper body nearly verical; rim articulated from body by deep wheel groove; flaring rim with rounded vertical lip; rounded interior flange near center of rim for lid; horizontal loop handle attached at rim, rises as rounded triangle well above rim. As C 1937 540 (Corinth VII.3, p. 125, no. 666, pl. 29).
Material:   Coarse, yellowish red clay fired gray at core with few fine to large spherical, sub-rounded white, rare fine to medium sub-rounded to angular black, rare, at least one, medium tabular rounded red, and rare fine sparkling inclusions. Rare find voids.

Condition:   Fragment. Six joining fragments preserving smal part of body, 1/3 rim, one handle.
