Description:   Bolster krater with moulded flaring ring foot, flat resting surface, domed undersurface, hemispherical body, flat rim with rounded lip, bolster handles set on upper wall, just below rim, only one hanlde pierced vertically by a single hole for suspension. Similar to C-1947-451 (Corinth VII.3, p. 46, no. 188, pls. 7, 47).
Decoration:   Black glaze all over interior and exterior, reserved small diamond-shaped area and tiny triangle on undersurface, bilingual decoration on upper third of body below rim, Side A: incised lattice-work with central black and added white checkerboard motif, Side B: running ivy garland with incised tendrils and alternating added white painted leaves and dot rosettes, added white painted swag below handles. Motifs as on P 25874 (Agora XXIX, p. 290, no. 441, pl. 44), P 15141 (Agora XXIX, p. 262, no. 194, pl. 18), C-1947-107 (Corinth VII.3, p. 92, no. 536, pls. 40).and P 18699 (Agora XXIX, p. 303, no. 583, pl. 55).
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare large to very large (L. 0.003) angular spherical lime inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining fragments preserve most of foot (except small chips), body (small fragments missing), rim, and both of the handles (except for a small chip in one); glaze and added white paint well-preserved throughout.
