Description:   Trefoil mouth oinochoe with low vertical ring foot, flat resting surface, flat undersurface, ovoid body, tall, narrow cylindrical neck, trefoil mouth with tapered lip; vertical strap handle attached to shoulder and rim. Profile similar to W 2 (Corinth VII.1, p. 11, no. 31, pl. 5) and CP 858 (Corinth VII.1, p. 16, no. 57, pl. 9).
Decoration:   Self-slipped and black glazed overall with reserved undersurface and resting surface; rouletting on undersurface; three sets of three reserved lines at regular intervals up to just below the handle; on neck reserved window-panel with three reserved lines above and below framing three zigzag lines with black vertical lines connecting their apices to the lines above and below; three vertical reserved lines on either side of zigzags; glaze continues just inside rim; handle reserved on undersurface, on upperside three sets of four black lines flanking two Xs, lower one single-lined, upper one double-lined; black lines along edges of handle. Decoration similar to W 22 (Corinth VII.1, p. 11, no. 29, pl. 4).
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay fired reddish yellow at core with few small rounded black and white inclusions, and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10YR 7/3 (very pale brown), Core: 7.5YR 8/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Numerous joining fragments preserve the entire vessel except for several fragments and chips missing from foot, body, neck and rim; handle intact. Glaze is very well preserved.
