Description:   Transport/ storage amphora with round bottom pierced at center by semicircular protrusion, tall ovoid body, conical neck with funnel-shaped rim inward thickened, flat lip, vertical oval handle attached at top of neck and top of combing on body, thumb impression on either side of upper attachment.
Decoration:   Group of deeply incised straight lines cover the lower 2/3 of shoulder.
Writing:   dipinto and inscribed. Above incised lines on shoulder and on neck, continuing underneath handle, in red paint in Greek :
… M .. On opposite side, on neck, incised ligature: lower case B, capital XI.
Material:   Coarse red clay fired reddish yellow at surface with common large to very large white lime, frequent large to very large dark red, and common medium to very large gold mica inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), core: 2.5YR 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. Numerous joining frgts preserve complete rim, 1/2 neck, 1/8 part of body, almost complete single handle. RIP. Ten bs left in Lot 2011-60.
