Description:   Plate or bowl (probably Hayes Form 3), with flat base, convex on top, with raised spiral circle probably from smoothing with a spatula.
Decoration:   Red slip over all. Kantharos stamp in center, H. 0.019, W. 0.013, stylized with splayed foot, circles to indicate handles, open mouth somewhat like a lotus bud; no indication of fluting as in other versions of this stamp. Cf. Hayes LRC Stamp Type 59c.
Material:   Hard fired, somewhat fine light red clay, with common white lime inclusions, some erupting from surface. Slip one shade darker than matrix
Munsell Color:   Core: 2.5YR 6/6 (light red); Slip: 2.5YR 5/8 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment. Bottom of vessel with no edges or foot and stamp at center. Deliberately chipped in antiquity to create a circular disk with the stamp at center
