Description:   Jug or flagon. Globular body, with maximum diameter at center, tapering to neck and base.
Decoration:   Faint exterior self-slip one to two shades darker on upper half, lower half fired gray. Horizontal grooves on lower half, spaced 0.006 apart, becoming shallower and fainter toward base and upper third of vessel. Top half has irregularly spaced 'gouges' drawn off-vertical around circumference of vessel, cutting through the horizontal grooves. Tool dragged through wet clay from top to bottom. Rim smooth.
Material:   Hard reddish yellow clay, somewhat coarse, with common white inclusions, few black angular inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Core: 5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Slip: upper half 5YR 6/6 to 5/6 (reddish yellow to yellowish red), lower half 5YR 5/2 (reddish gray)
Condition:   Fragment. Six joining frgts., preserving about 50% of body from neck to narrowing for base. Rim, handle, and base not preserved.
