Description:   Amphora with rounded cylindrical body with a bulge below handles that tapers to a rolled rim without a neck; vertical double round strap handle with high 'horns' attached at upper shoulder and below rim. Similar to Agora V, no. M54, p. 89; Hayes 1991, no. 32; Reynolds 2005, figs. 6-8.
Decoration:   Red painted band below handles.
Writing:   dipinto. Red painted Greek letters delta and lamba between handles below rim on both sides.
Material:   Coarse sandy very pale brown surface, light reddish brown core, with rare large platy angular white inclusions, common fine spherical rounded white inclusions, very rare large spherical angular black inclusions, and rare medium voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10YR 7/4 (very pale brown); Core: 5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Four joining frgts., preserving 1/2 rim and 1/2 of one handle (with many joining and non-joining pieces (rim and handle, painted body) in context pottery in Lot 2015-54).
