Description:   Bowl with flaring, straight body curving sharply up to straight, flaring rim with rounded lip.
Decoration:   Chalky white slip all over. Pale greenish yellow glaze inside, to over rim outside, with few drips. Interior: two brown incised concentric circles at middle, dark brown-black incised decorations in field between painted line at carination: diagonal line and poorly made looping line. Thin brown painted line at starting flare of rim, thicker line just below lip. Wide, uneven yellow-brown paint stripes. Exterior: one wider, deeper incised line and one thin, shallow incised line on lower body. Deeply incised line shallow just above carination, above it shallow diagonal grooves widening at lower end. Below lip, one deeply incised line and one thin, shallow incised line beneath it. Similar to Lot 308:1.
Material:   Coarse brown clay with few spherical tabular and spherical rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 5/4 (brown); Core: 2.5YR 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving body and rim. Glaze well preserved, small trace of green glaze (single faint dot) preserved.
Period:   Frankish (1210-1458 AD)
