Description:   Deep bowl. Small ring base. Convex body straightens mid-body to tall outward flaring rim; two horizontal round handles, attached 1/3 of way down body. FS 284.
Decoration:   Exterior has three bands, one painted band around base, one around the middle of the body, and a thick band at the rim; the rest of the body has a buff slip. Each handle has three splashes or stripes, two where they attach to body and one at mid-point. Interior is painted red and there is a spiral or swirl on the interior of the base.
Material:   Fine clay with occasional pieces of medium grit
Munsell Color:   ext. surface 10 YR 8/3.5 (very pale brown); fabric 7.5 7/6 (reddish yellow); Paint 10 R 4/8 (red) to black
Condition:   Complete profile. 22 joining fragments preserve all of foot, 95%of body, 95% of rim, both handles
