Description:   Deep Bowl. Shallow ring base. Slightly globular body to large outturned flaring rim. Two round horizontal handles attached 1/3 of way down body. FS 284, Group A.
Decoration:   Exterior has dully polished surface and three horizontal bands in lustrous red paint, one at base, one at mid-body and one thick band at rim. Decorative zone between handles has a wavy line (FM 53) that runs into rim band. Handles have three splashes. Interior painted, monochrome red.
Material:   Fine hard light orange clay with some fine black grit
Munsell Color:   Surface and Core 3.75 YR 6/8 (light red/ reddish yellow), Paint 10 R 4/8 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. c. 35 joining fragments preserve 1/4 of foot, 1/3 of body, 90% of rim, one handle complete, one handle broken 1/3 preserved
