Description: | Deep Bowl. Shallow ring base. Convex body straightens to slightly outturned flaring rim. Two round horizontal handles attached 1/3 of way down body. FS 284, Group A. | |
Decoration: | Exterior has polished surface with thick buff slip. Four painted bands in lustrous red, one at base, two at mid-body, one at rim. Decorative zone between handles has an antithetic spiral (FM 50) which flow down from the rim band and flank a panel/triglyph consisting of two sets of four vertical lines on either side of three cross-hatched lozenges with two triangular patches of joining semi-circles (FM 42.24) on outside of lines at midpoint of panel. Handle has three splashes of paint. Interior is red monochrome. | |
