Description:   Carinated cup (FS 240). Ring base, carinated body; rim and carination diameter the same. Very tall outturned lip. No handles.
Decoration:   Exterior slipped and polished, painted above carination; interior painted monochrome with a swirl of heavy paint terminating at the bottom.
Material:   Medium hard fine pink buff clay
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown), Core: 10 YR 8/4 (very pale brown), Paint: 2.5 YR 4/8 (red) to black
Condition:   Complete profile. 13 joining fragments preserve all of base, 60% of body, 60% of rim
