| Description: | Stirrup jar (FS 175). Globular body, slightly rounded shoulder. 1 vertical strap handle. Spout tall, slightly flaring, outward thickening rim slightly flaring. | |
| Decoration: | Exterior surface slipped and polished. Three horizontal bands below belly, three horizontal bands at belly; in both bands consist of two narrow bands surrounding one broad band. Decorative zone at shoulder consists of horizontal rows of decoration sandwiched between painted bands; from bottom to top, thin band, row of dots, very thick band, tiny vertical strokes, band, zone of spaced groups of a triglyph composed of 3-11 vertical bars flanked by half rosettes of 3 dot-centered semi-circles (FM 74), thin band, zone of zig-zags (FM 61), band, zone of zig-zags (FM 61); on top of vessel on either side of the spout are triangular patches of joining semi-circles with dotted centers (FM 42). On the other side of the handle are two concave-sized cross-hatched lozenges (FM 73) with dot rows curving up and down from the side angles. Band around base of spout; rim of spout painted. Handle had some paint. | |
