Description:   Carinated cup (FS 240). Small ring base. Carinated body rises to tall tapered outturned lip. One vertical strap handle, high swung from top of rim to mid-body.
Decoration:   Exterior is slipped and polished. Lower body reserved, upper body painted with a thin reserved strip below painted band at rim. Top of handle painted solid, reserved tirangular area behind handle on body. Interior is monochrome.
Material:   Fine clay with some medium sized grit
Munsell Color:   Surface 10 YR 7.5/4 (very pale brown), Core 2.5 YR 6/8 (light red), Paint 2.5 YR 4/8 (red) to black
Condition:   Complete profile. 5 joining fragments preserve all of base, 3/4 of body, 3/4 of rim, all of handle
