Description:   Plate with flaring stem foot with flat resting surface, deep convex body and oblique tapered lip.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Incised on interior: central medallion of palmette with scale filler, two circumferance lines,then zigzag border with curling filler. Below lip, another border of tendril. Tellow glaze on interior,clean on exterior.
Writing:   graffito.
Material:   Fine,light red clay with fine white inclusions.
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining fragmnets, giving complete profile; all foot, small part ofbody and lip.

Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
