Description:   Bowl with low base ring, horizontal floor, tall vertical body with moulded rim.
Decoration:   Thin orange brown glaze, slightly metallic. Base moulding has raised dots. Figural scenes in main register: satyr carrying off a nymph or maenad, carrying a thyrsos, club leaning against background; shepherd in kilt, petasos, and carrying crook in left hand with sheep behind.
Material:   fine clay
Condition:   Fragment. Two non-joining fragments (CP 1640 is the other), assembled in plaster. Preserves complete profile, one-third of bowl.
