Description:   Deep Bowl. Small ring base. Convex body rises to slightly outward flaring lip. Two horizontal round handles attached 1/3 of way down body. FS 285
Decoration:   Exterior is slipped and polished with painted decoration. Below decorative zone are a series of bands: one thick band covers base and c. 0.02 of lower body with five thin bands above it, a second thick band 1/4 of way up body has five thin bands above it and another thick band below decorative zone. Main zone, on both sides of the bowl, has two antithetic birds (FM 7) flanking a triglyph or broad panel (FM 75:39). Each bird faces the triglyph and the inside of its body is filled with parallel lines or concentric half-circles. The wings are up and the legs are lines in a Z pattern. The panel around each bird has triangular patches coming down from the top, bottom and side of the frame made up of joining semicircles. The triglyph has a quirk pattern in center and is flanked on each side by a vertical zigzag band, two lines enclosing a vertical row of dots, and a line of joining semicircles. Handles have splashes at attachment points and six or seven bars on top. Close Style.
