Description:   Amphora. Rounded shoulder to medium tall slightly flaring neck; flaring outward thickened horizontal rim with a groove in middle and a flat top. Two very small vertical strap handles on shoulder. Buck (Hesp 1964) shape C8.
Decoration:   Exterior is slipped and painted. Thin band below decorative zone at shoulder. Main zone consists of two curvilinear motifs made of a loop which narrows to a tail at one end filled with crosshatched design (Buck Hesp 1964 Motif 126 - tennis racket (hatched loop)). The ends of these hatched loops curve under handles to meet a vertical band which runs down the top of each handle. One band above main zone at base of neck. Interior slipped on rim and neck only.
