Description:   Krater with ring base, max diamter at mid body below zone, flattened and almost squared rim.
Decoration:   Wet-smoothed and slightly lustrous surface; paint is generally dull black. Monochrome interior. Deep band at rim out, 2 bands framing thin band below narrow zoone, band on lower body, band at base. In zone, on smaller fragment, leg and lower body of bird; on larger fragment, part of flower flanked on the right by rear of a bird's (or fish's) body including triangular tail, triangular hatched wing, and solid body. The paint in the zone of the larger fragment has to a large extent disappeared and finer details of the decoration are unsure, but the general scheme is clear.

Munsell Color:   Fracture: 5 YR 7/3 (pink); near surface: 10 YR 7/4 (very pale brown); surface: 10 YR 7.5/4 (very pale brown); paint: black to 2.5 YR 4/6 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. 2 non-joining fragments, one with full profile except for handle ( = 12 sherds), one from lower body ( = 5 sherds). Ca. 50% of base, 20% of body, and 5% of rim preserved
