Description:   Stemmed bowl, FS 305. Profile is that of canonical stemmed bowl (ie lipped rim, incurving wall of upper bowl).
Decoration:   Surface is wet smoothed. The paint varies in color from strong brown to dull black depending on how thick it is. Both paint and the wet-smoothed surface are lustrous. Rim painted, band below rim in and out, band below zone. In zone, running spiral.
Material:   fine clay
Munsell Color:   Fracture: 5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow) becomes 10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown) near surface; surface 5 YR 8/2 (white); Paint varies from 7.5 YR 5/6-8 (strong brown) to dull black
Condition:   Fragment. 3 joining sherds. Profile to band below zone is preserved. Very small percentage of total vase is preserved.
