Description:   Hydria, FS 128. Globular? body.
Decoration:   Exterior has been smoothed. Paint has almost entirely disappeared, but when then, seems to have held better. 3 bands on shoulder, 2 bands on lower body. Pendant from neck and partially crossing shoulder bands is large "tassel" with 3 thin straight arms. Pendant from shoulder bands and 90 degrees around the circumference of the vase from the first tassel is a second tassel with short fat curved arm. At a level slightly above lower body bands and roughly below first tassel is a thickening of the body wall indicating the imminence of a horizontal loop handle.
Material:   Oatmeal fabric containing large amount of black grit which speckles the surface
Munsell Color:   Fracture: 5 Y 6.5/1 (gray/light gray); interior surface: 5 Y 7.5/1 (light gray/ white); exterior: 5 Y 8/2 (white); paint: 10 YR 5/4 (yellowish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. 11 joining body fragments. Full profile not preserved. None of base or lower body, ca. 25% of upper body, none of neck, rim or handles preserved.
