Description:   Deep bowl, FS 284. Ring base, slightly flaring rim.
Decoration:   Surface coated with slip. Monochrome interior. Medium band at rim, 2 bands below zone, band at juncture of body and foot, line above this band. In zone, central broad panel (4) with horizontal wavy line fill and attached rows of 5 joining semicircles. On each side of this panel near handle, vertical zig-zag in panel (2). 3 splashes on handle.
Material:   fine clay with some very small pieces of grit.
Munsell Color:   Fracture: 5 YR 6.5/6 (reddish yellow), surface with slip: 10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown); Paint: 2.5 YR 4/8 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from 16 sherds into 2 large non-joining sherds (base fragment = 9 sherds, handle fragment = 7 sherds). Ca. 50% of base, 60% of body, 45% of rim and 75% of one horizontal loop handle including both of the stumps preserved.
