Description:   Deep bowl, FS 284. Large bowl with sharply flaring rim.
Decoration:   Surface is lustrous and wet-smoothed. Paint varies from red to black. Monochrome interior with reversed band below rim in. Deep band at rim on exterior, band below zone. In relatively narrow zone, 3 large running spirals (of 4 convolutions each).
Material:   Fine clay with some very fine grit
Munsell Color:   Fracture: 10 YR 7/4 (very pale brown); surface: 10 YR 8/2 (white); paint 2.5 YR 4-5/8 (red) to black
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from 5 sherds. Full profile not preserved. None of base or lower body, ca. 25% of body above base of zone, ca. 5% of rim, and none of handles preserved.
