Flanking this panel on each side is a triglyph and half rosette motif consisting of 4-5 vertical lines interrupted at the center by a depressed ellipse. On the outside of these on each side is a complex panel consisting of (from inside out) a vertical line with attached spaced outlined solid semicircles, pointing in, a pair of vertical lines enclosing a vertical row of lozenges (plain on one side and dot-centered on the other), 4-6 vertical lines, and a final line edged by a vertical row of joining semicircles. 3 bands at base of zone.
Material:   Fine clay with a fair amount of small and medium sized grit
Munsell Color:   Fracture, interior and exterior surfaces: grayish or 7.5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow); paint 2.5 YR 5/8 (red)
