Description:   Late Neolithic four-legged vessel. Body undersurface concavely rough finger-smoothed, possible white wash. Possibly reburnt. Body side convex. Portion of inner surface preserved; rough-smoothed. At top of leg, deep concavity.
Decoration:   Surface of body side and front of leg burnished. Back rough-smoothed, as is inner surface. Possible traces of white wash. Band of crusted red paint at articulation of leg. Front of leg decorated with two diagonal incised bands, crosshatched on interior.
Material:   Semi-fine fabric with frequent medium and large angular inclusions. Brittle, varying from dull gray through to frull gray/orange. Traces of secondary burning?
Condition:   Fragment. Two frgts., mended together, preserving lower body and upper part of leg; broken all around.
Period:   Late Neolithic
Findspot Description:   Kosmopoulos K series. K 2 23. "M31." Possibly from excavation for museum. 1931.
