Description:   Late Neolithic four-legged vessel in black burnished ware. Simple tapered rim; handle offset in 2 degrees with deep, broad groove (bevelled) to rear below.
Decoration:   Traces of filling crusted red paint at handle/body join. Rim set off by incised groove and 2 incised zigzag stripes: between the 2 are are shallow offset grooves meeting at an angle for handle base. Surfaces burnished; crusted red paint traces all over front incised zone. Possible traces of incised zigzag at bottom rear at edge of break.
Material:   Fine fabric. Scattered light adn dark inclusions. Fired light dull gray at core; going tannish buff (outside) or black surface layer (inside). Secondary burning?
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from 2 frgts., preserving proper right front rim and handle attachment area; broken all around except at rim. Chipped at break.
Period:   Late Neolithic
Findspot Description:   Kosmopoulos K-series. K 3 26 and K 3 30. Fragment K 3 30: "25/2" fragment from K 3 26: "M 31" and "25/2." Possibly from excavations for museum, 1931.
