Rim set off by incised groove and 2 incised zigzag stripes: between the 2 are are shallow offset grooves meeting at an angle for handle base. Surfaces burnished; crusted red paint traces all over front incised zone. Possible traces of incised zigzag at bottom rear at edge of break. | Material: | | Fine fabric. Scattered light adn dark inclusions. Fired light dull gray at core; going tannish buff (outside) or black surface layer (inside). Secondary burning? | Condition: | | Fragment. Mended from 2 frgts., preserving proper right front rim and handle attachment area; broken all around except at rim.
