Description:   Late Neolithic four-legged vessel. Probably about 1/3 of total leg. Black burnished. Leg swells in complex curve to thigh, narrowing to articulation with body. Deep concavity at top of interior retaining crusted red paint.
Decoration:   Exterior burnished. Decorated with festoons of lightly incised hatched or cross-hatched bands, and at side thin vertical stripes. At join of thigh to body series of thin vertical strokes. White fill.
Material:   Fine fabric. Few medium light and dark subrounded inclusions. Slightly micaceous. Fired evenly dark grayish black.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving front "thigh" and "knee" of leg; broken all around at top and at bottom, split down back and sides. Worn.
