Description:   Hollow, mouldmade protome of Dionysos. Hair parted in the middle and bound around the forehead by a strophion. Closely set deep eyes below a low forehead. Applied clay preserved around the proper right side of the head for attachment to situla.

Material:   Moderately coarse yellow-buff clay with scattered fine dark inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Between 7.5YR 7/4 and 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving upper half of protome from crown to eyes, seam on right for attachment.
