Description:   Antefix attached to semi-circular cover tile; face decorated in relief; 13-petal palmette: all petals short, central petal diamond-shaped with central rib; perimeter cut deeply for center petal and roughly edged for side petals; petals radiate from center frontal face, with low rounded forehead, deeply hollowed eyes, projecting round cheeks, snub nose; face rises from a calyx (?) on a stem, and framed by two leafy branches which spring from either corner below palmettes; raised stud or scroll to either side of face, two more framing stem of calyx.Below these a double horizontal band of pearling, poorly preserved; horizontal rib 0.022 m. below bottom edge. Back flat with off-center rib reinforcing joint to cover and vertical finger strokes in moist clay. Parallels: NB911 B102, FA-170, FA-171, FA-172 (for similar cut), FA-536 and especially FA-575.
Material:   Very coarse pinkish clay with rare large angular platy red inclusions and sub-rounded white.

Condition:   Complete profile. Preserving complete face and half join to cover tile. Lower corners chipped.
