Description:   Antefix attached to semi-circular cover tile. Antefix consists of eleven-petal palmette: central petal pointed, next petals widely spearated from central one, remaining slightly drooping with round tips; petals in relief against a background that mirrors profiles but is slightly larger. Oval heart with three vertical relief lines. Beneath, a pendant three-petal lotus with elongated heart, flanked by pairs of S-scrolls; one pair begins beside lotus heart, curls down toward lower corner, meets second scroll that curls up to base of palmette tips. Lower portion of antefix rectangular with horizontal relief line H00.022 above bottom. Face of antefix concave.
Material:   Coarse tan clay with ca. 7% fine to coarse angular red mudstone and few fine white inclusions. Clay fired light red at core.
Munsell Color:   Surface: slightly redder than 10YR 6/6
Condition:   Two joining frgts., complete face of antefix, beginning of cover tile.
