Description:   Antefix attached to semi-circular cover tile. Antefix consists of an 11-petal palmette, central petal pointed, others petals are drooping and rounded, petals in relief with edges shallowly cut to mirror them. Oval heart with raised central ridge is in the center of the palmette. Under the palmette stand two S-scrolls which flank two half palmettes which surround an upside down lotus bud. Both S-scrolls begin with a spiral in the upper center near the palmette then curve vertically down to the base, then return vertically up branching one third of the way into a spiral. The other branch continues further up and ends in a spiral. Lower portion of antefix, half way down the S-scrolls (H 0.06 from the bottom), rectangular. The back of the antefix is flat. Similar to Corinth I.4, p. 86, pls. 20.1, 21.1a.
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay with frequent medium to large angular black, few large rounded white lime, rare large rounded black inclusions, and few large angular voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining fragments, antefix complete, cover tile broken 0.235 from back.
