Description:   Terracotta palmette antefix. Similar to FA-249.
Decoration:   Eleven-leaf palmette, all round-ended except central leaf which is pointed. Leaves droop slightly downward, palmette heart U-shaped, supported on two S-shaped tendrils with one end turning up and inward, around eyes, supporting palmette; other end down and out, with counter-curving of biforcated end. Upper biforcation has single leaf hanging from it. Central "honeysuckle flower" hanging from between tendril spirals. At either side of honeysuckle is half palmette with 5 leaves. Matt brown-black background; dull red heart of palmette, between leaves of honeysuckle, and at sides of antefix.
Condition:   Complete profile. Complete except for lower right corner of antefix, chips missing from top and upper right leaves. Surface worn, red paint not well preserved.
