Title:   ARCHAIC ANTEFIX TO CORINTHIAN COVER TILE

Description:   Corinthian cover tile with antefix, vertical proper right side preserved incomplete, top right sloping surface 0.09 m. wide. Front face has undecorated panel framed by groove along vertical edge rising to spiral at top. Spiral has concave "eye." From under eyey groove runs along top in arc to spiral at center of top of antefix, crowned by stemped-in three-petal palmette. Area of stamped decoration glazed, overfired to dull brown. Tile probably not combination. Close to FA-24. 2nd. Half of 7th c. B.C.
Decoration:   On top corners and center rise above top of calyptor.
Material:   Badly overfired clay gray to brownish gray interior, mudstone. Over-fired paint having some brown gray.
Condition:   Fragment. Proper right corner of calyptor, preserving slightly over 1/2 face.
