Description:   From a pan/cover-tile. The cover element ends in an antefix of tympanon form (truncated at sides). The front edge of the tile is marked by a guilloche, the centers laid out with care and the circular elements inscribed with a compass. The guilloche consists of a central eye painted red and spiral bands consisting of a broad (0.014 m.) black band enclosed by two reserved bands (0.006 m.). The antefix face is marked by relief decoration consisting of two S-spirals separated by a palmette of 3? leaves. The spirals were painted red, the leaves black. Probably from the 6th century Temple of Apollo? C.f. T 50 (neg. 8651), T 151 (neg. 5551, 8766), T 160 (neg. 2555), T 166 (neg. 5525, 8651), FA 327 and FA 328 (negs. 5525), type similar, rather, to A 101- 101 A.
Material:   Hard yellowish to yellowish-buff clay with much black grit; fine yellow slip.
Condition:   Fragment. Small part of eavestile, pan-tile surmounted by antefix /cover-tile, all in one piece; half of antefix missing and surface worn.
