Description:   Circular well cover, flat with central opening surrounded by flat rim with sloping side. Bottom rough, other surfaces thinly slipped.
Decoration:   Possible painted decoration near outer edge, ghost of which preserved: 6 vertical strokes, placed in a row at ca. rt. Angle to outer edge and stretching toward center; hatched lines between strokes 1 and 2 and 2 and 3.
Material:   Coarse clay, fired buff to pinkish tan, 3% fine to coarse angular spherical and tabular red mudstone inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 to paler
Condition:   Complete profile. Seven joining frgts., complete profile, nearly half of opening and cover, 1/5 outer edge.
